In this day where you can stream any movie, TV show, or baby animal doing funny people-things it’s time to start streaming your workout videos, too.
Cathe Friedrich has one of the best On Demand fitness service.
Let me explain…
Cathe Friedrich, an ACE (American Council on Exercise)-certified instructor since 1986 and a member of the Fitness Hall of Fame, is an exercise-video guru and one of my favorite fitness intructors. Now you can access any one of her 270+ (mostly) advanced routines.
I’ve been doing Cathe Friedrich workouts for over 15 years and recommend her routines to friends and family regularly.
I can’t tell you how excited I was when the pros at Cathe.com introduced Cathe Live and Cathe OnDemand + Live.
Like many of you I’ve spent a small fortune on exercise videos. I get tired of doing the same routines and end up purchasing video after video to keep from getting bored.
Like Beachbody on Demand, Cathe Live and Cathe OnDemand + Live give subscribers access to Live workouts as well as all of Cathe Friedrich’s videos so you can keep your at-home workout routine full of variety.

Cathe Live is a subscription to view Cathe Friedrich’s live workouts from her home studio in New Jersey.
The cost is $9.97/month and grants you access to the workouts Cathe Friedrich does at her home gym.
Every week new videos are posted and you can do them with the class or during your regular workout time slot using the recorded version.
The Live videos are listed in chronological order with the most recent routine at the beginning.

You get to see Cathe Friedrich as a real person!
It’s like that first time you bumped into your middle school teacher at the store in her sweats and realized she wasn’t just a teacher.
These workouts aren’t perfectly choreographed and edited (like what you might be used to seeing in her videos) but that’s what makes them awesome.
The music messes up, Cathe loses count, she forgets to do one side of lunges and sometimes she’s (very) off beat but it’s all good.
You also find out that Cathe has a sense of humor. I love the live workouts.
Cathe on Demand + Live is the second option for a monthly subscription service to Cathe Friedrich workouts.
The subscription is $19.97/month* and gives you access to the Live Cathe Friedrich workouts PLUS access to ALL of her workout DVD’s. (This is the best deal, in my opinion, and is the membership I have.)
*There’s also an option to sign up for 6 months or a year.
The Live routines are listed together with all of her produced programs in alphabetical order under the My Videos tab from a web browser (if you use the Cathe on Demand app and Cathe Live app these are already separated).
With this subscription option (Cathe on Demand + Live) you’re also able to try every premix routine from each DVD (these are the ‘extra’ workouts included on most of her DVD’s) using the Workout Blender* from you computer.
*You don’t need the Workout Blender with your ipad or mobile device. You’ll be able to see the premix workouts when you click on the main video when you’re using the Cathe on Demand app.
You can also use the Workout Blender to create your own premixed routine.

IMPORTANT TIP-There’s an app you can download to access your Cathe OnDemand service.
Check out the Cathe on Demand app.
The app does not allow you to access Live workouts. (You’ll use the Cathe Live app, mentioned above, to do that.) So, you’ll need TWO apps if you sign up for the Cathe on Demand PLUS Live membership. Which isn’t as big a pain as it might seem.
I use the app when I’m doing a workout video with my ipad. I find the app very easy to use. All of the videos are arranged according to series or workout type and the premix routines are easy to find.
Hover over Streaming to see the drop down menu and click ‘Sign Up’.

On the next screen you’ll see 2 options:

TIP-Go to the TUTORIALS PAGE to learn how to connect all your different devices together for the best experience with your membership. There are videos on this page that will walk you through how to do it.
TIP-Remember you can access a workout in your hotel room using your computer or Ipad on your next vacation with one of Cathe’s subscriptions.
I recommend you sign up for a month to the full Cathe On Demand + Live service so you can try out a few live routines and access some new video programs. If you find you don’t use it then you can cancel it after a month.
We all spend more than $19.97 on coffee and fast food every month. This is worth a try.
